London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week shows and events are distributed across the city — with concentrations in Mayfair, Soho, the East End (Shoreditch and surrounding areas) and South Bank, plus individual show venues that can be anywhere from Hackney to Kensington. The hotel geography is therefore somewhat less defined than in Paris (where the golden triangle hotels dominate) or Milan (where proximity to the Quadrilatero della Moda matters).
The broad choice is between:
— Mayfair / West End: traditional luxury, proximity to the Fashion Week's Mayfair infrastructure, the BFC headquarters and the great London luxury retailers
— East London (Shoreditch, Hackney): proximity to the East End's fashion and art infrastructure, the younger creative geography of LFW's most experimental shows
— Central (Soho, Covent Garden): excellent for movement across the city, proximity to both fashion world directions
Claridge's (Mayfair) — London Fashion Week's most iconic and most prestigious hotel address. The Claridge's Bar and the hotel's dining rooms are LFW institutions — the meeting points for fashion's most senior British and international figures. The hotel's extraordinary Art Deco interior provides one of the most beautiful settings of any fashion week hotel in the world. Fully booked for LFW very early — book at least 6 months in advance.
The Connaught (Mayfair) — quietly exceptional, the Connaught provides what many consider the finest all-round hotel experience in London. The Connaught Bar (often voted the world's best hotel bar) and the Fera restaurant are exceptional. LFW's most discerning clientele.
Chiltern Firehouse (Marylebone) — the most fashionable and most socially animated hotel in London during LFW. The Firehouse restaurant is the most fashion-week-populated dining room in the city during fashion week. Less traditional than Claridge's or the Connaught but equally premium and significantly more vibrant.
The Berkeley (Knightsbridge) — close to the V&A and positioned for access to both the West End and South Kensington show venues. The Blue Bar is one of London's finest hotel bars.
The Hoxton, Shoreditch — the definitive East London LFW hotel for the more creative, fashion-forward guest. Excellent location for the East End show venues and the Shoreditch art and food scene. More accessible pricing than the Mayfair palaces.
LFW hotel booking:
Book 6–9 months in advance: the best London properties during fashion week — Claridge's in particular — can be fully committed months in advance. For the September edition, begin hotel outreach by March–April.
London hotel pricing during LFW: rates at the premier addresses carry fashion week premiums of approximately 1.5–2.5x normal rates. London's hotel market is competitive but the premiums are generally less extreme than Paris Couture or Milan fashion week.
Location versus character: more than at any other fashion week city, London offers a genuine choice between very different hotel characters and neighbourhoods. Matching the hotel to the guest's personality and fashion week objectives produces significantly better experiences than defaulting to the most prestigious address.
Our team manages hotel reservations for clients as part of full LFW packages, with pre-secured allocations at the leading fashion week properties.
