The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe — universally known as 'the Arc' — is the most prestigious flat race in Europe and one of the most valuable in the world, with total prize money exceeding €5 million. Run at Longchamp Racecourse in the Bois de Boulogne, Paris, on the first Sunday of October, it brings together the finest thoroughbreds from across Europe and increasingly attracts international challengers from Japan and beyond.

Longchamp access: the racecourse is located in the Bois de Boulogne in western Paris. The fastest route from central Paris is Metro Line 2 to Porte Dauphine, then a short walk or shuttle bus to the course.
